When is the best time to transplant a lilac bush?
Late fall when dormancy sets in -Late Oct, early November or in early spring, late February or early March. Less shock to the plant infrastructure and root system!
Reply:in the fall from september to october

.
Reply:I will be transplanting mine in the autumn (the fall) when the flower has long gone and it will be settled for its new growth in the spring, the lilac flowers here in may ( Ireland) and it was the lilac that I choose to grow for the birth of my first and second grandchildren .
Reply:Wait a couple more months, until a little cooler weather comes, or, you can wait until spring. keep plenty of water on the roots when planting and water plenty thereafter.

Good luck!
