When is the best time to transplant a lilac sapling?
You can do it anytime. If the new plant has a good root system, dig it up and put it in a container with some excellent soil for a boost, then give it to your daughter when it%26#039;s convenient.
Reply:In the dormant season(when it%26#039;s lost it%26#039;s leaves) This applies to most shrub/bushes.
Reply:We%26#039;ve moved lilacs at different times during the summer and it doesn%26#039;t seem to bother them. Just make sure you get a good section of the root.
